This programme is specially designed for those seeking a career in construction project management with a general civil engineering construction or building firms. Students will be exposed to basic understanding of the management of civil engineering and building processes. This programme emphasises on a multi disciplinary approach in areas of construction, management, finance, law and sociology which enhances grduates' critical thinking skills and knowledge that employers require for the graduate to be effective in the management of construction projects.
Broadly, students will be introduced to subjects such as internal environment, design, contractual agreement, tendering & estimation, geotechnics, project management, structural mechanics, surveying and many more. This programme has an excellent employment prospect within and outside Malaysia.Generally graduates may either opt to further their studies at degree level or seek employment as supervisors working for contractors, consulting engineer, architect or even local authority. Students are also expected to participate in group projects as part of the common skills required towards achieving the award.
